Warrensville Heights - Montana Allmond, a former Garfield Heights councilman who was the first black man to hold public office in that Cleveland suburb, died Sunday, the day after his daughter's funeral.



The 75-year-old Warrensville Heights resident was hospitalized with multiple ailments at Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center for more than two months before his daughter, Tanya, 55, died of complications from a stroke on Feb. 10.

I received an inquiry from someone looking for information on a Vietnam veteran M.A. Allmond. I personally don't know who this could be but I thought I would post it here just in case. There is a project to reunite some 1,000 dogtags lost in Vietnam with their owners back here in the States.
